Bankruptcy Trustee

Soneet Kapila and Barry Mukamal are sitting members on the Panel of U. S. Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustees in the Southern District of Florida.  The trustee has a fiduciary obligation to protect the interests of all classes of creditors including secured, priority, administrative, unsecured and non-priority.  Among the duties of a trustee would be marshaling and preserving the assets of the estate for the benefit of creditors; bringing causes of action or litigation to recovery property or funds.  A trustee is authorized to utilize the services of legal counsel/attorneys, accountants, appraisers, auctioneers and other professionals to assist in performing his duties.
